Stephanie's Story

Stephanie Dara Berman was alone when she crashed her car and died at the age of 16. She was an underage driver on a school permit at the time of her death.

She wasn't supposed to be driving, she sneaked out of the house in the middle of the night. She did something millions of kids do, and she paid for it.

What Can We Do?

The Hightstown High School Parent Association After-Prom Committee provides substance free entertainment experience to students who attend the prom at Hightstown High School. Even Seniors that don't attend prom can attend the after prom party. By making this an event that just can't be missed, the committee is possibly saving students from the same fate that took Stephanie from her friends and family.

The father and friends of Stephanie Berman, in honor of her short life, have organized this 5K Run/Walk with the hopes of raising funds for the after prom committee and with the desire of showing the kids of Hightstown High School, and their guests, that having fun after the prom can be a safe and spectacular experience.

Come join us for our second annual 5K Run/Walk

Date of the Event: September 28, 2008 (Rain or Shine)

Location: Hightstown High School, Hightstown, NJ

Time: 10AM (registration opens at 8AM)

• A 5K race
• A 5K fun run
• The 5K "Walk with Stephanie"

The first 125 people to register get a free event T-Shirt!!!

Registration prior to September 19, 2008: $15.00

Registration after Sep 19 and day of run: $20.00
